The department of Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Southern California seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Black feminist and/or Black LGBTQ studies. The search is open to any historical period and field in a U.S. or transnational framework. We are especially interested in building upon our strengths in intersectional feminisms, popular culture, the arts and public scholarship, as well as political culture and social justice. Applicants must have a doctoral degree in relevant field of study. Our department offers minors in LGBTQ studies, and Gender & Global Justice, as well as a robust graduate certificate program for Ph.D. students.
